# SOP 18 · Product recalls

When a supplier or the state issues a recall, the compliance manager identifies every affected package tag and places all of them on hold in the inventory system immediately.

Pull the recalled product from the sales floor and the vault into quarantine. Use sales records to find customers who bought it where that is allowed, and follow the recall notice for returns and destruction.
