# SOP 14 · Microbial contamination

If you see mould, a powdery or fuzzy growth, or a musty smell on flower or pre-rolls, stop handling that package. Do not sell it or open more units to check.

Move the whole batch to quarantine in the vault, tag it as on hold in the inventory system, and notify the compliance manager the same day. Compliance decides whether the batch is retested, returned to the supplier or destroyed.
