# SOP 3 · Receiving a transfer

Before signing for a delivery, count every package against the transfer manifest. Check that each package tag on the manifest matches the tag on the bag or box in front of you.

If the count is short, over, or a tag does not match, do not accept those packages. Note the discrepancy on the manifest, photograph the packages, and tell the inventory lead before the driver leaves.
