# Examples: what a hit looks like, and what does not

Fake products, fake company (Green Leaf Dispensary, Acme Farms). Every rule ID
refers to `rules-template.md`; your `rules.md` may number them differently.
Add your own after each run: a false alarm goes under "Not a hit", a miss gets
a new rule in `rules.md` and a row here.

## Menu copy

| text | class | rule | why | rewrite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "Sunset Gummies: melt your anxiety away." | BLOCK | ALL-1 | Names a condition and an effect on it. | "Sunset Gummies: mango and chili, 10 mg each." |
| "Doctor recommended for better sleep." | BLOCK | ALL-1 | Medical outcome plus an authority claim you cannot verify. | no compliant version; remove |
| "Our strongest flower yet, 31% THC." (COA says 27.8%) | BLOCK | ALL-4, ALL-5 | Potency does not match the COA. | "Green Leaf Flower, 27.8% total THC per COA." |
| "Tastes like candy." | CHECK | ALL-3 | Candy comparisons can read as appealing to minors; depends on your state's reading. | "Sweet, fruit-forward." |
| "Earthy, pine, a little citrus on the exhale." | not a hit | MENU-1 | Taste and aroma only. | |
| "Relaxing evening strain." | CHECK | MENU-1 | "Relaxing" is an effect claim in some states and a descriptor in others. Your rules file decides; until it does, CHECK. | |

## Labels

| text | class | rule | why | rewrite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Label with net weight, THC, batch, but no warning statement | FIX | LBL-1 | Required element missing. | add the statement word for word from rules.md |
| "Total THC: 100mg" on a 10-piece edible, no per-piece number | CHECK | LBL-3, LBL-6 | Depends whether your state requires per-serving. | "100 mg total THC, 10 mg per gummy" |
| "Made with love in California" | not a hit | | Origin claim that is true and not about the product's effect. | |
| Cartoon bear mascot on a gummy label | BLOCK | ALL-3 | Character likely to appeal to minors. | no compliant version; remove |

## Ads, posts, SMS

| text | class | rule | why | rewrite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "Free pre-roll with every purchase this weekend." | BLOCK | AD-3 | Free product; banned in many states. | "20% off pre-rolls this weekend." (if discounts are allowed in your state) |
| Instagram post, photo of a budtender smoking on the sales floor | BLOCK | AD-2 | Depicts consumption. | photo of the product, sealed |
| SMS blast with no opt-out line | FIX | AD-6 | Missing unsubscribe wording. | append "Reply STOP to opt out." |
| Email to last month's customers announcing new hours | not a hit | AD-6 | Opted-in list, transactional content; check the footer has unsubscribe. | |
| "Now open in Denver" | NOT COVERED | | Location announcement; no rule in the template speaks to signage or location claims. Add one if your state has it. | |

## SOPs

| text | class | rule | why | rewrite |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "Move the flower to the sales floor." (no Metrc step) | BLOCK | SOP-1 | Product moves without the recording action named. | "Move the package to the sales floor and change its location in Metrc to 'Sales Floor'." |
| "Check ID." | FIX | SOP-2 | Does not say which IDs or what to do on refusal. | "Check a government photo ID (state DL, passport, military ID). If expired or doubtful, decline the sale and log it." |
| "Sell up to the daily limit." | FIX | SOP-3 | Limit not stated in units. | state the limit in the units and forms your state uses |
| "Sweep the floor at close." | not a hit | | Housekeeping. | |

## Calibration notes

- One line can hit two rules; list both, one row per rule.
- A missing required element is FIX, not BLOCK, unless the rules file marks the
element `must` and the text is going to print. Then say so in CHECK.
- The skill quotes rule IDs, never statutes it has not seen. If the rewrite
needs a fact the file lacks (the exact warning text), write `[insert LBL-1 text]`.
